Kaitlyn Vest, Cellist
About
Kaitlyn Vest has played throughout the US, as well as in China and Indonesia. She was a Lecturer in Cello and Chamber Music at Universitas Pelita Harapan in Tangerang, Indonesia, as well as taught and performed in the Jakarta area.
Kaitlyn now serves as the Adjunct Instructor of Cello and Chamber Music at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and the Visiting Instructor of Cello at Sewanee: The University of the South. She is a faculty teaching artist at Bay View Music Festival, and was previously the Chamber Music Coordinator of the String Academy at the Sewanee Summer Music Festival.
In addition, Ms. Vest holds a private studio in Chattanooga, TN.

A section cellist with the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra and Huntsville Symphony Orchestra, Kaitlyn also plays with Nashville Opera Orchestra, Alabama Symphony Orchestra, Chattanooga Symphony and Opera, and Memphis Symphony Orchestra. In her exploration of non-traditional chamber music settings, Kaitlyn performs with Nashville-based ensembles Intersection and Chatterbird. She has also enjoyed playing with such artists as Josh Groban, Aaron Neville, Olivia Newton-John, Amy Grant, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and the touring Broadway production of Hamilton.

Kaitlyn received her BM in Cello Performance from the University of Memphis and her MM in Cello Performance from Carnegie Mellon University.

In addition to cello, Kaitlyn enjoys yoga and exploring trails with her dog, Luna.
